Health ~ Nutrition ~ Classed by symptoms

There is nothing wrong with your body, which includes the mind since the brain is part of it, but there could be something very wrong with how you feed it. You get the right results for your wrong doings. If you want your body and mind to improve, improve how you treat them and the resources that you give them to do their work.

If you want change, you'll have to change.
If you want your life to get better, live better.

You are what you eat.
If you eat junk, you look like junk, but much worst: you feel like junk.

For detailed information about many nutriments, see the page Vitamin and Mineral. Do a search of your symptoms or body parts. But this page groups some of them for you.

The needs can change between people, and from day to day. If you want to make your body work harder than natural, you'll have to catch up and pay for that debt with more nutrition and more rest, sooner or later.

This is what can happen if you don't give your body what he needs to function, or don't respect its limit:

Muscle Problems
Heart palpitations
Shortness of breath
Anger (iritability)

Anxiety, ADHD, psychosis and death
Sickness behavior

Muscle problems:

One of the worst is probably Fibromyalgia, which literally means "Connective Tissue and Muscle Pain", that's a symptom not a disease.

It's explained at easy-immune-health. Don't resign yourself to endure it for life.

Simply give your body the materials needed to function, and when you didn't for too long or worked it harder than usual, provide extra to heal.

I searched for deficiencies causing muscular problems, therefore the solution. Protein is logical, Vitamin C causes dramatic scurvy as you rot, and much more.

(Keywords in "Vitamins & minerals": muscle AND muscular. Or just "musc".)

I cleaned the results for relevant infos. The length itself shows that it's a great option for health care; and muscles are just one example among many.

Feeling so much better about everything was my proof.

Vitamins & minerals needed for muscles,
and the symptoms of their deficiency:

  • B complex:
    • B1
Function: Co-enzyme converting carbohydrate into energy in the nerve tissues, muscles and heart.
      Deficiency: Muscle weakness
    • B2
Function: Important for good muscle tone
      Deficiency: Trembling
    • B3
      Used for: Arthritis
      Deficiency: Muscular weakness
    • B12
Function: Necessary protein synthesis (Which muscles need)
      Used for:
      Muscle fatigue
    • H
      Used for: Muscle Health
      Deficiency: Muscular pains
  • C
Deficiency: Muscle and joint pains, hemorrhages of the thigh muscle (larger hemorrhage)
Scurvy symptoms: muscle weakness, fatigue, joint and muscle pain.

  • D
    Function: Protects against muscle weakness
Used for: Nerve and muscle formation, rheumatoid arthritis
    Deficiency: Muscular weakness and spasms

  • E
Function: Improves muscle strength, stamina and athletic performance
Used for: Soothes and protects tissues of the calf muscle. Helps relieve symptoms of muscular dystrophy.
    Deficiency: Muscle weakness

  • Calcium
Function: Assists in muscle contraction and nerve transmission. (Neuromuscular activity). Needed for muscle growth.
Deficiency: Muscular problems, cramps. Aching joints, rheumatoid arthritis.

  • Magnesium
Function: Proper functioning of nerves and muscles relaxation & contraction.
Used for: Better energy levels and better handling of emotions.
Muscle cramps and pain. In the legs or others.
Weakness, muscle strength is seriously impaired.
    Muscle tension, restlessness and stuffiness.
    Tremors, tics, twitches, spasms (tetany).
    Hyperactive reflexes.
    Impaired muscle coordination (ataxia).
    Involuntary eye movements and vertigo
    Abnormal heart rhythm.
    Difficulty swallowing and breathing.

  • Iron
Function: To resume, it makes muscles and the red blood cells that carries oxygen to them.

  • Protein
Function: Used to rebuild the muscles and joints, stored there to rebuild them after a strenuous exercise.
Joints stiffen and the muscles tighten, their reserve is the first to go.
Muscle soreness, cramps, wasting and atrophy.
Chronic Deficiency Sign: Muscle and/or Joint Pain.

  • Potassium
Used for: muscle and nerve cells functions (in conjunction with Ca and Mg)
Deficiency: Muscle weakness, problems in nerve conduction and muscle contraction. Heart disturbances, palpitations.
Severe deficiency: acute muscular weakness, paralysis, pins and needles.

  • Sodium
Function: Help muscles and nerve cells work properly
Deficiency: Muscle weakness, fatigue, spasms, twitches, cramps, lethargy...

  • Chloride (the other half of salt after sodium)
Deficiency: Muscle weakness. Loss of control of muscle function which might lead to breathing and swallowing difficulties.

  • Phosphorus
Can be found mainly in the bones and muscles.
Very involved with the contraction of the heart muscle.
Works together with sodium to regulate the contraction of muscles.
Essential for growth, building muscles, transmission of nerve impulses, heart activity etc.
Deficiency: Fatigue, cramping legs, muscle weakness, slow reflexes, irregular heartbeat.

Vitamins and minerals with those symptoms in their list:
(There could be more; some might be implied.
If it's a B, the whole complex could be useful since they work together.
If it's an electrolyte, you're probably dehydrated with all of them.
If it's one half of sodium-chloride, the other is most likely needed as well.
It's common knowledge that muscles need protein, make sure you get enough, but they need much more. Sodium and magnesium cause many symptoms so I'd try that first. With a whole lot of C of course! It's good for everything.)

Note: The keywords vary so the information can be incomplete; in alphabetical order instead of most probable. I'd try the magnesium first, it helps muscle relax, going in pair with the calcium that contracts them.

Twitches: B2, D, Magnesium, Sodium.

Pain & cramps: H (B vitamin Biotin), C, Calcium, Magnesium, Protein, Sodium, Phosphorus. (see leg cramps too)

Leg cramps:
  • B5 (arms too)
  • The trio of anemia: B12, C & Iron.
  • Electrolytes: Calcium, magnesium, Potassium & sodium...
(See webmd for many types of causes. Don't ignore the real needs with toxic pain killers. Avoid chemicals, they can cause pain.)

B1, B3, B12, C, D, E, Magnesium, Protein, Potassium, Sodium, Chloride, Phosphorus. Calcium.

A very long list of nutritional causes: simple yet devastating deficiencies of vitamins and minerals. They have so many effects on your whole body, causing many symptoms: physical and mental (it’s the same thing, the brain is a part of the body, duh!) and even terrible diseases.

The fancy cure? Consume them! Vitamins and minerals even come in pill form. Eating them is best, but supplements are sometimes necessary to catch up on neglected needs. Do both it's even more efficient. Sure worked for me!

Yet doctors tell patients to resign themselves to suffer, saying that their only option is to be the slave of pharmaceutical companies for life, being on chemical (toxic) pain killers trying to manage, instead to save that money for their needs...
Oh reaaaly~ You~ don't~ say~~~ So many believe that bullshit and suffer uselessly.

I wish I could show better to at least one person... If only it was the worst that happened in the "healing" field. But so called professionals do way worst to you and your children.

Stay away from hydrolyzed protein

I got that information from logic, but anything hydrolyzed is bad news, but I'll link it to fibromyalgia and tell you why.

I mentioned that hydrolyzed fat, to make peanut butter thicker, can affect the brain since it's made of fat, and make you thicker, as in "stupid", since your brain is damaged and you can't use it properly.

But if it's hydrolyzed protein, it can go to the muscles, and make them stiff. Hydro means water and companies love to use innocent safe names for their poisons. Like "preservatives". But that stuff is dangerous. It's purpose is to thicken chemically. If you want your joints to be flexible, it's a bad idea to feed them that stuff too.

Who cares if the food's more liquid, it's a good thing: we're made of 55-75% of water depending of age and what we feed on. Just take a few seconds to mix bio peanut butter or make delicious green stews anyway. Stop complicating your health with poisons; it doesn't make your life easier to be too lazy to mix your own peanut butter! Seriously...

Heart palpitations:

When your heart is pounding, we associate it to anxiety, but it can happen when you sleep.

But it can be as simple of a cause as being dehydrated. You need salt to hold on water. If your adrenal glands are fatigued from too much stress, they can't message the kidneys to hold on to it. So you loose salt, water follows... which means your blood... and the heart needs to make what's left circulate faster to compensate, working harder with unpleasant sensations. There's nothing wrong with your heart, but there's something wrong with what you put or not in your mouth.

The real causes are in fact a deficiency of one or many of those vitamins and minerals:
  • B5
  • E
  • Calcium
  • D (to absorb calcium)
  • Magnesium
  • B12
  • Iron
  • C (to absorb iron)
  • Sodium (Regulates the heartbeat and blod pressure)
Calcium and Magnesium are electrolytes so you can be dehydrated, you could need other electrolytes like Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, hydrogen phosphate, hydrogen carbonate.... and water too.

A deficiency of B12 and/or Iron & C means anemia. Your body needs them to make the red blood cells that carry oxygen. Your heart has to send them faster to compensate and send enough oxygen to all your cells. It's accompanied with shortness of breath and others.

You need C for everything all the time. Scurvy can enlarge the muscles in your heart and cause bleeding inside your heart, both of which can result in sudden death.

Also useful and possible, without having "palpitations" specified in the symptoms of deficiency:
  • Beta Carotene
    Used for: heart disease
  • B1
Function: Co-enzyme converting carbohydrate into energy in the nerve tissues, muscles and heart.
Used for: Improving heart function in heart disease.
  • Choline
Used for: angina. Marked by painful attacks of spasmodic choking, sudden intense pain in the chest, often accompanied by feelings of suffocation, caused by momentary lack of adequate blood supply to the heart muscle.
Deficiency leads to: Thrombosis. Intravascular coagulation of the blood in any part of the circulatory system, as in the heart, arteries, veins, or capillaries.
  • Phosphorus
It is very involved with bone and teeth formation as well as most metabolic actions in the body, including kidney functioning, cell growth and the contraction of the heart muscle.
  • Potassium
Function: Regulates heartbeat. Deficiency: Irregular heartbeat.
  • Selenium
    Helpful in preventing heart attacks
  • Protein
    Leads to: heart problems.

Stress isn't a cause in itself; but that critical time puts higher demands on the body, which requires more materials. To feel better we must correct their deficiency and of course improve the situation.

According to easy-immune-health even the American Heart Association has identified deficiencies in Magnesium & Potassium as one of the primary causes Heart Failure Death. (You sure can get happy feeding on nuts and greens!)

Make sure you get enough water too, salt to hold it in and avoid anemia. If you don't have enough blood or red blood cells, your heart will have to compensate by working faster. There's nothing wrong with your heart, doing that means he's doing a great job, but you might want to make it easier for him to avoid shortening its lifespan...)

They are other causes like caffeine such as coffee or sodas, and sugar or artificial sweeteners in any form. Doctors are just simply not aware of those causes of heart palpitations and they are extremely damaging. (They are classed as poison in my green lifestyle.)

Chemicals such as MSG and aspartame are a major source of cardiac irritability.

Your doctor can neglect to test for deficiencies, misinterpret the result or get an inaccurate one because the blood isn't everything. A hair analysis can reveal more about minerals. (According to the book "Doctor yourself", even those aren't reliable except maybe for heavy metals toxicity.) Look further into possible deficiencies; the cause can still be nutritional, you can't test every cell of every type of organs.

Shortness of breath:

Can be a deficiency of:
  • B12
  • Folic acid (member of the B complex)
  • C (Scurvy cause extreme symptoms)
  • Iron
  • Magnesium (even causes asthma, sleep apnea and sudden infant death syndrome.)
  • Phosphorus (Irregular breathing)
A deficiency of B12 and/or Iron means anemia. Your body needs them to make the red blood cells that carry oxygen. Your heart has to send them faster to compensate and send enough oxygen to all your cells. It's accompanied with heart palpitations and others.

A toxicity of:
  • B1 (no toxicity problems with oral dosage, occasionally injections of Thiamin can cause hypersensitivity in certain people.)
  • Magnesium (Difficulty breathing, but a deficiency has more dangers)
Back to list

  • B2
  • B12 (Pernicious anemia)
  • C (Since vitamin C is required to absorb iron, it's logical to add:
    Anemia caused by Iron deficiency)
  • Iron (Anemia)
Side effect:
  • E (Caution: Sometimes Vitamin E can cause dizziness.)
Low blood pressure from lack of salt, other electrolytes or fluids.

Back to list

Anger (irritability)
  • Deficiency of the B complex: B1, B3, B6, B12 isn't mention but anemia can make someone blood thirsty and cause psychosis, Folic Acid...
  • C (Scurvy)
  • E
  • Magnesium
  • Sodium
  • Too much vitamin A
Certain preservatives like Calcium chloride (webmd) found in cheese.

Why are you so angry? The illnesses and medicines that could be to blame for your bad moods at, see the site for their explanation:
  • Overactive thyroid
  • High cholesterol
  • Diabetes (low blood sugar, happens severely when refined sugars and grains are eaten, or alcohol, because they cause a severe high then a deep crash)
  • Depression (it goes hand in hand with the "wounded animal" mood, but it's not the disease by itself. If you don't take care of yourself properly, your brain won't reward bad behavior with serotonin.)
  • Alzheimer’s (it could be from the lack of the B complex, the deficiency destroys the nerves in the extremities of Diabetics, but in the brain too.)
  • Inflamed liver (anger is said to come from the liver in Chinese medicine and Western too)
  • Epilepsy (seizures, hypoglycemia can cause them)
  • Woman's period (I do not have PMS since I take enough magnesium to relieve cramps, B complex to avoid anemia, vitamin C to make my flesh elastic and resistant to strain with collagen, and avoid xenoestrogens to make the whole menstruating process too intense like soy and heated plastic.)
  • Sleeping tablets
  • Wilson’s disease
  • Stroke
I had an experience of extreme constant inner rage after eating junk food and being more active than usual. I'm not sure which factor caused it, probably everything piled up, it drained my nutrients reserves too much.

I took so much magnesium that I wondered if the muscle relaxant effect would stop my heart and die in my sleep, it didn’t, I slept well though. But it’s only when I took an extra 5g of vitamin C to my usual 4g that I finally stop being enraged. Then, from the relief, I noticed that I was actually in pain. I woke up spitting a lot of blood from my nose, which is also a sign of scurvy. It developed quickly in spite of taking a lot of supplements because my need for it got raised by bad food with allergens and too much excitement which is like exercise.

But supplements aren't as complete and nourishing as complex life forms. I probably calmed down the most thanks to nourishing food. I took a variant of this recipe:

Health ~ Recipes for happiness ~ Healing soup

It can heal anything because it address deficiencies while avoiding allergens.

Many real causes, it's not in your head!

Vitamins, minerals and others with depression as a symptom of their deficiency:
  • B vitamins complex:
    • B1
    • B3 (too little or too much)
Leads to pellagra: A disease caused by a deficiency of niacin in the diet, characterized by skin changes, severe nerve dysfunction, mental symptoms, and diarrhea. (dictionary.reference).
A disease caused by a deficiency of niacin and protein in the diet and characterized by skin eruptions, digestive and nervous system disturbances, and eventual mental deterioration. (customers.hbci)
    • B5 (Most mentionned for adrenal support in times of stress.)
    • B6
    • B12 (A deficiency endangers the oxygen supply to the brain. How's that for brain imbalance!? Do you think he will produce happy juices when it's suffocating? This deteriorates functions and leads to schizophrenia. Dying sounds like a good reason to be depressed. A deficiency of iron, with C to absorb it which can be the real problem, also causes this anemia.)
    • H (Biotin)
    • Folic Acid
  • C
Leads to scurvy: Prostration (extreme mental or emotional depression or dejection, extreme physical weakness or exhaustion.)
  • D (too little or much too, necessary to absorb calcium)
  • Minerals:
    • Calcium
    • Magnesium
(Possible side effect at high dose: Euphoria)
  • Trace elements:
    • Zinc
    • Iron
    • Manganese
  • Electrolytes such as:
    • Potassium
  • Essential fatty acids:
Your brain and every cell membrane are made of fats. Fat cells get bigger in our era no longer because they store vitamins, but because they trap toxins. When this isn't enough anymore, you get protective tumors directly in your vital organs, but cancer isn't the problem. It's poison. So eat the healthy fats.
    • Omega-3
    • Omega-6
  • Protein
We all know that body builders need protein for their muscles. But we rebuild a completely new body every 7 years, and it's not only made of muscles. Any type of stress raises the output of energy, so obviously you'll need more input. But not only of energy with refined sugars! Your cells will get damaged faster, so you'll need materials to heal as well. It's far more logical to used the refined vitamin C of foods instead, because having vital organs shut down is far worst than lacking energy, and you'll be tired no matter how much sugar you eat if your organs can't heal from the strain. From my researches, vitamin C is far more utilized and mentioned as a cure in every disease I've read about. But of course you need protein too. The idea of incomplete protein in vegetable is false. They have it all, and also vitamin C which is essential to absorb iron; AND fiber to trap and drag the toxins out. So meat would be the food that’s incomplete. But we’re omnivores; we evolved by eating everything, at different times, for different purposes. We need everything. Except artificial, chemical toxins that only fool the senses, which are meant to recognize which food is rich in nutrients, and what isn't edible and dangerous. Making cardboard, paint and bleach taste like a ripe fruit with added sugar… How do you expect to be healthy and happy.
Endocrine illnesses with depression as symptom:
  • Hypoglycemia
(Also called Glucose intolerance. Do not threat it with sugar, its intensity will worsen the crashes, but it seems to be a reflex to crave it and this mistake is even done by doctors. Protein and fat, like raw nuts, are your friends. It's sugar and grains that make you fat. Customers.hbci also called it Sub-clinical Pellagra, a severe niacin (B3) deficiency. Vitamin B helps you make your own energy and burn your food, instead to just whip yourself. Antidepressants causes hypoglycemia, which cause a body distress that alerts you by making you depressed... Those drugs are causing what they're supposed to treat, they're not your hope, they're making it worst and ensuring that you'll be a client of big Pharma for life. Vitamin C enhance mood and took care of my sweet cravings better than sugar ever did. There is no side effects to mega dose nutrition, trying it and seeing for yourself can only broad your options.)
  • Hypothyroidism (Wise and necessary if you are exhausted and need a rest.)
  • Adrenal fatigue
(Stress isn't even in your head. They produce adrenalin to free fuel out of storage to face the increased demands. That's why you get heart palpitations and anxiety. Simply because you are hungry and that's how the processes to bypass feeding feels like. Eat nuts and avoid the over stimulations as much as possible, and you'll improve greatly. Divide what you want in smaller tasks and take one step at the time. It's not because you like something that you should neglect nutrition and rest for it. You're alive, you have needs, try to ignore them and you’ll crash. Your brain sure won't reward you with happy juices if you don't take care of yourself. 2000-4000mg of vitamin C is one way among others to greatly improve the situation and all the others that this can cause, like hypoglycemia and depression; stopping the domino effect of distress and pain at the root. Taking care of any type of stress that exhausts them is necessary too, by changing, adapting yourself to or removing yourself from a situation. But if you can't, or won’t, at least give your body more materials to strengthen yourself to bear it better. Energy is less important than healing, so nutrients are more vital than sugar. Therefore vitamin C will be more effective. In nature what contains it tastes sweet. There is no such thing as rocks that taste sugary in the nature that our bodies evolves from and adapted themselves to. So what you actually crave isn't the flavor but the meaning: the vitamin C sweet things are supposed to contain.)
It's in all types of nutritional needs. And this is only what I've found, some deficiency have such torturous side effects that depression couldn't be more natural, even if it's not mentioned. It's felt when your organs are exhausted or damaged as well.

Everything that causes suffering cause depression.

It is so obvious that depression isn't an illness, nor even a symptom of one, but it's simply how your body warns you that your needs aren't fulfilled, to get your attention and motivate you to improve your situation. Drugs against it only dulls your survival mechanism, therefore they are against your well being!

Antidepressants not only masks the causes of depression, it causes hypoglycemia, which cause depression... Therefore, antidepressants cause depression. They are basically insulin. If you think they're helping you, then you're eating more sugar than your pancreas can make insulin for; or you're too numb to know better anymore.

If you crave sweets, your body wants the nutrients that nature put in sweet vegetables and fruits: You crave vitamin C, and many others. Not white sand!

When babies cry it's because they are:
  • Hungry
  • Bored or overstimulated
  • Tired
  • Soiled
  • Lonely
Those are natural needs that must be fulfilled in order to be happy and even survive. You are not a baby anymore, you're not powerless, you don't need to call for help, you can get up and take care of yourself. Your instinct to feel sadness when your needs aren't met or that you are in danger is still there. But now it's your responsibility, you have to take it and stop to wait for someone to save you if you scream hard enough... because it opens the door to abuse, even in the most well intentioned, even professionals can be clueless and make the deadliest errors. But you can know better than anybody else when your body feels an improvement, or a suffering.

Shutting down the brain with drugs will never solve the cause and make your life better. It would be criminal to drug a baby instead to feed him, remove him from a dangerous situation and get rid of the crap. Adults deserves the same, but have to count on themselves to do it. It's very liberating when you think about it, you aren't at the mercy of someone, having to wait and only able to cry. So get up! Even if it's to go lie down and sleep. Take care of your needs.

You're important too, and if you are suffering, starved and exhausted, you can't share or give better to anyone. It's already hard enough to figure out how to take care of ourselves and to do it, you can't expect others to do it for you, which would be demanding the energy that they need to take care of themselves and wouldn't be fair. It can be a reason why you ended up depressed in the first place. There are many toxins that damage our life force, in our food, products, and even people. Saying no isn't necessarily negative; because you have the right to choose a better life.

If what you've been doing so far makes you miserable, then you have little to lose in exploring other ways. Normal means the majority, from the statistics, it's normal to be in depression, but you don't have to follow the life style that causes it. The best way to look good is by pursuing what truly makes you feel good.

You don't have to suffer to be beautiful. All that it takes is a smile. Being well fed and well rested can really make it easier.

Anxiety, ADHD, psychosis and death:

Your whole body needs to breathe, proper fuel and building materials.

Red blood cells carry oxygen. They are made with B12 and Iron that requires C to be absorbed. If you don't have enough, you suffocate.

Your brain can't concentrate or think accurately without its needs.

It explains ADHD and psychosis, especially if you use cola, loaded like a gun with energizing sugar and caffeine, to remedy the problem for the worst. The exhaustion is replaced by energy but without proper brain functions to control it. A recipe for disaster.

Anemia can be one of the reasons. Hypoglycemia also, it's caused by hunger or a crash from refined sugar, and the brain needs gentle steady energy as well.

Until you eat better, your heart can compensate by sending your few red blood cells faster, causing unpleasant palpitations. Adrenalin stimulates that process, the releases of stored fuel, and your whole body; making you feel nervous. That explains anxiety.

But there's nothing wrong with your heart or your mind.
You just need better nutrition.

Sickness behavior

At wikipedia, the signs and symptoms of a fever are described in an enlightening manner.

A fever is usually accompanied by sickness behavior, which consists of:
  • Lethargy
  • Depression
  • Anorexia
  • Sleepiness
  • Hyperalgesia (Extreme sensitivity to pain)
  • Inability to concentrate
So calling any of those symptoms an illness by itself is really bullshit. Forcing the brain to feel and act healthy when you're not with drugs, legal or not, is pure garbage also.

You're not lazy, in depression nor have ADHD... your body is SICK!!! You need to nurture it properly, not force it even more to do something it can't with the means you're giving him, or within human limits!

Expecting to be able to give 110% is cruelty, slavery and can only throw someone into exhaustion and illness.

So, start treating yourself or kid better; and don't take shit from others like a dumping ground, you have enough trying to do your best with your own.

Life can be that simple. The more you take on, the more you have, but the more problems also, and the more energy it takes.

Keep a balance between nutrition, actions and rest. You'll be healthy, otherwise nothing will save you, not god and no drugs. So save yourself. Or not. That's what free will is all about. Living your own life and picking up your own mess.

Like the movie "Food matters" said: "It requires responsibility... and it's the only way out."

If you want it easy, someone will sell it to you even if it's unrealistic and impossible... (like losing weight drinking only milk shakes, of all things, or diet coke as if artificial sugars weren't even worst... Toxins get sealed in fat.) Even the big Pharma will supply the stupidest demands for the sake of money, but it doesn't mean that it will work; and it will often make it much worst very soon.

Because if you don't solve the problem and only cover it up, it will accumulate until it can't be ignored anymore.

It will be easier to fix it early.

You're not the victim of your body, he's simply trying to teach you how to take care, leading you to real happiness: health.

You could be the slimmest and most adored person, but if you're in agony inside you won't be happy.

So focus on what truly matters, and that's you, and what you really need.
